FameCast is an online seasonal competition designed to find emerging artists who are serious about their craft and ready to take their work to the next level. FameCast provides artists with an opportunity to connect to a worldwide audience and compete for real prizes: $10,000 and national exposure.
To the audience (known as Fanatics), FameCast provides an unprecedented opportunity to see a wide array of talented new performers and the ability to help their favorites through a high-stakes competition by voting for them.
In order to enter the contests, you must first register as an artist and create your artist profile. Once you have registered and confirmed your account via email, you can log in to your account. To enter a competition, you MUST upload a video and submit it to a Contest Stage during the Open Submissions period. Season 4 gets officially started in January, but they have been accepting entries for a while already. So, don’t put this off - especially if you already have a video completed. For more information on how to upload a video, click here.
Another cool thing is that FameCast often hits the road in search of new acts and cool opportunities for artists. This page will keep you in the loop on where they are headed next. If you are an artist, come perform live at a FameCast Casting Call and receive a free, professional performance video to be entered into the FameCast competition. Also, be on the lookout for FameCast at various FameCast Sponsored Events around the country. See this page for all the details.
Finally, just get over to FameCast and check it all out. Last year I had a favorite that I voted for and followed all the way through the competition. She didn’t win, but it was a blast, and she got a lot of exposure. (She’s a talented young singer/songwriter named Lauren Frost, and you can see her video here.
Be sure to come back here and tell us if you’re in a contest so that we can vote for you.
Have Fun!
