Lauren Frost just released her 1st CD, “ Words for the Birds “, on August 25, 2008. Lauren is a Chicago singer/songwriter that I’ve followed for a couple years now.
Her style is a little difficult to pin point, but if you like jazz, folk, pop, softer rock, or just good female singers, I think you’ll find something to like.
She and her friend Matt Scutt wrote the songs together, and gathered some of Chicago’s finest musicians to record her album. The band is known as Blue Lou, and if you hurry you may be able to catch them at a local club. She also plays what she calls her Acoustic gigs with fellow guitar player, Matt Scutt and Ashton Likes.
You can preview her music on her MySpace at www.myspace.com/laurenfrost
Or, you can go directly to her new blog http://laurenfrost.blogspot.com/ and buy the CD. You will be able to hear a few snippets of her music there, too.
I realize I’ve dedicated a post to plugging one musician, but I have a special interest in Lauren. Be that as it may, I welcome any of you to send me links to your websites, videos, and blogs so that I can hear your music and promote your music, too.
